Telling your story

The day of all days and the most important day in your life:
As a wedding speaker in Münster, Münsterland and Frankfurt am Main I am there for you.

Wedding celebrant in Münster for funny, emotional and personal non-religious weddings

A non-religious wedding thrives on the wedding speech being as fun, emotional and personal as possible. To ensure I can achieve this as a celebrant, I listen very carefully to you during our pre-wedding consultation – and when writing your speech, I turn “we swiped right on Tinder” into a story so gripping that you’ll find yourselves wondering at times whether I’ve already secretly sold the film rights to your relationship.

How do I manage that? As a journalist and bestselling author, I’ve learnt to ask the right questions and to ensure there’s both humour and depth in my writing. I know how to strike a balance between humour, emotion and suspense: the best wedding speech in Münster isn’t the loudest one. It’s the one that makes you laugh a lot and that you’ll still be talking about years later.

Non-religious wedding ceremonies in Münster and the Münsterland region

A church wedding isn’t for you, and a wedding at the registry office alone feels too plain? Then a non-religious wedding ceremony in Münster, the Münsterland region, the Coesfeld district, Steinfurt, Warendorf or the Borken district is just the thing for you. Whether it’s a castle, a fortress, a country estate, an event venue, a barn or a meadow – I know the most beautiful venues between Münster, Lüdinghausen, Gronau and Dülmen and have an opinion on each one. And a list of insider tips. You’ll receive this during our free introductory meeting.

What makes my wedding speeches special

Yes, I am an IHK-certified independent wedding celebrant in Münster. But really, I’m your personal all-in-one solution for the happiest day of your life. Because I’m also a journalist, bestselling author and event presenter. That might sound like a packed schedule – but for you, it’s one thing above all else: your insurance policy against yawning guests.
What you can expect from me:

From the journalist (F.A.S.): I’ll tell your story in great detail and also weave in how you felt during those crucial moments. So I won’t just say “and then they fell in love” – instead, I’ll recount in full detail exactly how it happened. So that your guests think: “Wait a minute, I didn’t know that at all.” The benefit for you: I recognise what makes your love special – and ruthlessly weed out the boring bits.

From the bestselling author: Anyone who writes books knows how to maintain suspense. A personalised wedding speech is a story with a beginning, a middle, a central theme and an ending that leaves at least three people in tears. At least.

The event host: Stage fright? Not in my vocabulary. I know how to steer the mood. And if your grandma spontaneously decides to spice up the ceremony with a few ‘real’ facts from your childhood – I stay calm. The benefit for you: I smooth over potentially tricky moments, improvise and ensure the ceremony flows. So you can completely let go on your big day and simply enjoy it.

Why my bespoke wedding speeches sound different

As a journalist, I’ve learnt to ask probing questions and weave your answers into a personalised wedding speech that will leave you wondering whether I’ve been secretly living under your sofa. Here I explain exactly how I do it. That’s why our in-depth wedding consultation lasts three to four hours.

After the consultation, I rewrite your wedding speech from start to finish – using only the information I’ve gathered from you. This takes around 20 hours.

The result: the first part of your wedding speech – the story of how you met – is very funny. The second part – why you’re such a perfect match – is deeply emotional. Together, these are the elements your guests will never forget.

How your wedding speech is created

Free introductory consultation

Here we get to know each other in a relaxed setting – in person in Münster or online, completely at ease. You tell me about yourselves, and I listen, ask questions and explain how a non-religious wedding ceremony in the Münsterland region works and what rituals are possible. But alongside all the organisation, one thing is particularly important to me: that you think, “Yes, we want to share this moment with Katrin.

In-depth wedding consultation

Our second meeting will be even more personal. I’ll ask you lots and lots of questions – until I’ve truly understood what makes your relationship special. I don’t just want to know when you met, but also why, after the third failed cooking evening, you still hadn’t listed each other on eBay Classifieds. During our wedding consultation, you’ll sometimes discover things about each other that you didn’t even know yourselves. Or at least you’ll think: “That’s right, that’s how it was back then.” And it is precisely from this that your personal wedding speech will later take shape.

Wedding Day

I’ll take care of the clipboard – it looks a bit dodgy with the wedding dress anyway. As a trained event host, I react quickly, even if the sound cuts out or the rings briefly disappear into a jacket pocket. You focus on getting married – I’ll take care of the rest.

Support with planning

How should the independent ceremony be structured? Which rituals suit you? Shall we involve your guests? Wedding candles – yes or no? Wedding vows? Music? I bring experience, ideas and structure – you bring yourselves.

Wedding speeches in German, English or French

When your “I do” meets “Oui”, I’m your go-to solution. As a trilingual wedding celebrant in Münster, I ensure everyone is on the same page – so your father-in-law from London isn’t sceptically checking the Westphalian weather whilst your mother-in-law from Paris is critically scanning the wine temperature. I switch between languages fluently, so that no one has to secretly resort to Google Translate during your most emotional moments. In the end, everyone will understand why you chose to say “I do” – no matter the language. You can find more information here.
